Lorne brings extensive experience in the area of peak performance training with professional and elite amateur athletes. He's worked with several NHL teams as a Strength and Conditioning Coach including the Montreal Canadiens, Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Quebec Nordiques and the Colorado Avalanche.  He currently coaches out of the Athletic Conditioning Center in Ottawa and Gary Roberts High Performance Training in Toronto working with such NHL stars as Danny Briere, Zach Bogosian, and Tyler Toffoli to name a few.  In addition to hockey, he has worked in the CFL, U of Ottawa Gee Gee’s and has prepared many local pros for CFL & NFL camps.   Lorne, who graduated from the University of Ottawa with an honours degree in Physical Education, is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology.

Topic Description:

Using a NO BS approach Coach Goldenberg will provide a lecture that will make you re-think how you design, progress and deliver programs to your clients.  Historical examples of the fitness industry will be presented which will be related to basic fundamentals of sound training science. He will show examples of fails & fads in the industry along with what we can do to improve on how these programs are delivered.  From exercise prep, plyometrics, sled pushing, and Olympic style weightlifting no stone will be left unturned.
