Topic Description:

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are an exciting addition to the treatment options currently used for musculoskeletal injuries, and is especially useful to bridge the gap between more conservative therapeutic interventions and surgery, especially where soft tissue tears and osteoarthritis are concerned. PRP is made from a patient’s own blood using centrifugation, and is often administered under ultrasound guidance.

This presentation will not only review current science and best practices, but will also provide a live ultrasound guided demonstration of a shoulder PRP injection.
